Terry has had a passion for filmed entertainment
since the age of 12, when he began creating home movies with an
old eight-millimeter camera. Since then, he has become one of
Hollywood’s best-known editors.
He began his career in the early 1980’s by
directing, editing and producing music videos as well as a successful
direct-to-video feature film, Interview
with Terror. In 1986, he began work at Matchframe Video,
a Burbank-based post-production studio, where he spearheaded the
creation of the studio’s edit bays. His reviews and tutorials
of such technologies as Avid Symphony have appeared in Post, DV
Magazine and other publications.
Terry is also an instructor at Pasadena City
College, passing his extensive knowledge along to the next generation
of editors.
Russell Frazier has been a motion graphic designer
and animator since 1993, using a variety of systems, including Quantel Hal
and Domino, Discreet Smoke and Flint, and Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
He has created film titles, television show
opens, visual effects, promo graphics, and DVD menus for clients
that include The Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, Miramax, the
WB, and Fox. He has also worked as a compositor or digital artist
on about a dozen feature films, including Beloved,
The Winter Guest, and Mulholland
Falls.
Russell holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in Film and Television from New York University.
John’s distinguished background spans nearly
two decades of experience in editing and post production for various
television, cable and syndicated programs.
From pioneering technical direction on the
nationally syndicated Channel One
high school program to eight years of on-location event editing
for the Olympics, John’s creative and technical skills have earned
him respect and recognition, including an Emmy Award™ for Technical
Achievement in 1994. He continues to impress clients with his
ability to this day.
John graduated cum laude from UCLA with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Motion Pictures/Television.
Marcus brings nearly a decade of sound engineering
experience to the AlphaDogs team. His skills and experience include re-recording mixer,
sound effects editor, film sound restoration engineer and adr/foley mixer.
Marcus’ extensive body of work includes the 2002
Emmy™ Nominee Best Sound Mix for True Story
of Black Hawk Down (History Channel); the Grammy™-nominated
5.1 mix for Beautiful Dreamer: Brian Wilson
and the Story of Smile (Showtime HD and DVD release); and the
theatrical Dolby 5.1 mix for The U.S. vs. John Lennon
(Lionsgate Films), to name just a few.
Sean got his start in television as a temporary
client/operations assistant in the early 1990’s at Matchframe
Video, and spent the next decade absorbing knowledge, honing skills
and gaining experience in graphic design.
His body of work includes innumerable film
and television titles/credits, as well as menu designs for more
than a dozen feature film DVD releases. The occasional print advertisement
and website layout rounds out his experience in the visual arts.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in English
Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
Paul De Cham has worked in the post-production
industry for more than 17 years; most recently he was a promo
producer at The WB. As the operations manager at Matchframe Video
(1995-2004), Paul developed working relationships with fellow
Matchframe alumni and AlphaDogs’ members: Terence Curren, John
Moore, Russell Frazier and Sean Williams.
Beginning his post-production career in 1988,
Paul worked at post-houses Laser Pacific, Lightning Dubbs and
Vidfilm as a senior tape operator.
Paul is a graduate of the Musician’s Institute
in Hollywood.
